South west coast path - part 1.
Perranporth to Porthtowan - 13.9km / 4.5 hrs including stops.
I decided to do the SW coast path in full with no obvious order, logic or timeframe for completion . In part it’s to know the SW coast some more, improve my fitness, be immersed in nature and prove I’m still capable.
I’ve done parts of this path recently so not completely unfamiliar and a quick and easy first start to however long this adventure lasts.
My fave part of the walk was an elderly lady VERY overjoyed to wave her hand and stick (for a long time) to a biplane flying overhead.
My least fave thing - my left knee putting up a fight - ibuprofen and ice came to the rescue.
Lessons from the coast path:
- when you hit a dead end, back track and you’ll find your path again
- not knowing if you’re on the right path or even being on the wrong path is ok, you’ll still reach your destination
I am so glad to have started this journey!
